Ammonia Chillers
(A specialty for Tempest)
- Fully welded refrigerant piping
- Only industrial components are offered on all Tempest ammonia units
- Components mounted on heavy-duty steel skids
- ASME certified pressure vessels standard
- Insulation available as a standard option

Air Cooled Chillers
- Capacity range from 50 to 350 tons with a variety of refrigerants
- Fan cycling or VFD condenser control available
- Condensers can be designed to be skid or remote mounted
- Motor disconnects, receiver head pressure control regulators, and weatherproofing coatings are common options
Evaporative Cooled Chillers
- Offers slightly more efficient system versus an air-cooled unit when ample make-up water is available and environmental conditions are favorable for evaporative cooling
- Fan/Pump cycling or fan VFD control are available
- Condenser can be skid or remote mounted
- Winterization, weatherproofing, and adding a liquid receiver are common options
